A medical consult is required prior to any medical test or treatment, excluding health checks.
This includes a a discussion of your clinical history, a clinical examination (including blood pressure and BMI assessments).
Based on this, Dr Salome is then able to manage your acute or chronic condition.
Most medical aids will cover this fee.
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test used to check your heart's rhythm and electrical activity. Electrodes attached to the skin are used to assess the electrical signals produced by your heart each time it beats.
Resting ECGs are done with you lying down, then followed by a stress ECG. The stress ECG requires exertion to see if there is any strain on your heart, requiring intervention. This test is then completed with resting ECGs done at 3minutes and 6 minutes post exertion.
Spirometry is a test used to diagnose and monitor certain lung conditions by measuring the amount of air you can breathe out in one forced breath. It is carried out using a device called a spirometer, which is a small machine with a mouthpiece. Commonly used post COVID19 infection to assess residual lung function and progress.
Dr Salome will draw your blood in our rooms.
Blood tests are determined by your clinical history and assessments.
This fee is for drawing your blood. The blood is then sent to the lab for testing. All labs will have their own fee for each test performed, which will differ based on cash and medical aid rates.
We provide the following intramuscular Injections:
A Pap smear (also called a Pap test) , is a screening test done for cervical cancer.
It tests for the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on your cervix.
Regular papsmears are advised for early detection and treatment of abnormal cells.
A a thin, plastic stick with strips of chemicals on it, is placed in the urine. This is a screening test done for certain conditions such as liver disease, diabetes, kidney disease and urinary tract infections. A positive result may require more extensive testing.
Pregnancy tests work by reacting to the amount of hCG in your urine.
Pregnancy is confirmed with a blood Hcg Test.

Any abnormalities will be indicated and a consult with Dr Salome and further assessments will be advised.
We offer the Vitality Health Checks and Momentum Multiply Health Check at no cost to you (covered by Discovery &Momentum Medical aid respectively).
If a full health check is not required.
